| Established in 1977, Kuo Ching Chemical Company, Limited is one of Taiwan’s leading companies dedicated in the manufacture and sales of specialty chemicals. During the past 30 years, Kuo Ching has achieved significant growth, from the originally registered capital of NT$12,000,000 to the current level of NT$460,000,000, a growth of more than 38 times. In addition, its sales figure has also been climbing at a steady rate of 20% per year. As a recognition to Kuo Ching’s achievement, in the year 2000, Kuo Ching was ranked 19th among 1000 mid-sized companies in Taiwan by the Common Wealth Magazine. Currently Kuo Ching has 4 manufacturing sites and 1 research and development lab located in Taiwan. |

| Specialty chemicals are chemicals added in small amount to give enhancement and modification in the performance and appearance of the final product. They are usually critical components of the end products in which they are used and are often developed for customers’ specific requirements, making substitution of alternative products more difficult. This usually leads to a close relationship between the specialty chemicals producer and the customer. The global market size of specialty chemicals is valued at around US$100 billion and products are used in a wide range of industries, such as cosmetics, personal apparel, electronics, etc. |
